1968 China Junior college of Technology(5-year program)was founded
4 departments:Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering,
Civil Engineering, Architecture.
1982 Evening School of 2-year program Junior college was founded.
1989 2-year program Junior college was founded.
1994 Business Administration, International Trade, Banking Insurance was founded, and renamed” China Junior college of Technology & commerce.
1998 2-year program Junior college Continuing Education was founded.
1999 Upgraded “China Institute of Technology”,Evening School was renamed “ Continuing Education Division”
2000 College of Continuing Education was founded.
2000 9 departments:Mechanical Engineering ,Electronic
Engineering,Electrical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Build Engineering, Industrial &Management, Business Administration, International Trade, Finance.
2001 3 Departments of Aviation Mechanical Engineering,Aviation Electronic Engineering and Information Management was founded.
2002 Graduate Institute of Electronic Engineering was found.
2003 Hsin-chu Campus was established and Graduate Institute of Opto-mechatronics Engineering was founded.
Graduate Institute of Civil and Disaster Prevention was founded ,and layout Yun-lin Campus in Yun-lin county was under construction.
2009 China University of Science and Technology
2011 The university was again awarded as the first rank by the Ministry of Education. The university obtained the ISO 27001 ISMS Certification & TTQS Certification.
2012 The Center for Industry Collaboration & Student Internship on Yunlin Campus was established.
2013 Game Design Program and Digital Culture Creation & Multimedia Program were added.
2014 The Department of International Business was renamed Department of International Business and Marketing.
2015 Jade Garden Hotel on Yunlin campus was approved to operate.
2016 Game Design Program and Digital Culture Creation & Multimedia Program were renamed Department of Game Design and Department of Digital Culture Creation & Multimedia.

Scholarships and teaching assistantships are available. International students can also apply for the Taiwan Scholarship offered by the government. Please refer to http://www.cust.edu.tw/enoll for scholarships information.
Cost of study Top
Currently undergraduate students pay approximately NT$45.000 to NT$53.000 per semester for tuition and fees. For graduate students, mandatory fees are about NT$52.000 to NT$53.000 per semester. And tuition is NT$1.300 per semester unit. Books and supplies cost about NT$5.000 to NT$10.000 per semester.
Housing and Living Costs Top
All international students will be provided with on-campus dormitory-style housing. For graduate students, each room accommodates two students, which costs approximately NT$11.000 to NT$12.000 per semester per student ; while for undergraduate students, each room accommodates four, which costs about NT$11.000 to NT$12.000 per semester per student. Living expenses range from NT$6.000 to NT$8.000 per month.
Location Top
Taipei Campus, an area of 5.6 hectares (13.8acres), is located in Nangang District, Taipei.
Hsin-Chu Campus is located in the Hengshan Township, Hsin-Chu County, about 70 km south of Taipei. This Campus with many departments, covers an area of 9 hectares (23acres), is famous for its Aviation Engineering, airplane maintenance, and Aviation Service Management.
Applying Top
The deadline for filing international applications is Jane 30. All applicants are required to submit a completed application form, a enrollment a copy of diploma, a copy of official transcripts, a statement of purpose, two letters of recommendation, and a record of medical examination. Some programs may require other additional information. Applications are considered for admission for the fall semester only.
